Scope
This product sheet defines the client data feed in the context of an e-commerce website.
Client data is only required if matching is to be carried out.
Where the client does not want their own site to be scraped, a feed can be provided instead.
Definition
The Client Data Feed product:
- Is an alternative to a site scrape of the client site
- Requires specific pieces of information to be provided to enable matching to be carried out
- The client feed must contain:
- Product Code
- Product Title
- Price
- URL
- Where part number matching is selected, it should also contain:
- Manufacturer Part Number/EAN/ISBN
- Where matching using the Standard Matching Application is selected, it should also contain:
- Brand
- Where matching using the Enhanced or TOTAL Matching Application is selected, it should also contain:
- Product Description
- Category Structure
- Image URL
- Optionally, for reporting purposes, the client may also choose to provide:
- Promotional Information
- Stock Availability
- Regular Price
- Cost Price
- Margin Requirement
- Can provide the input file as an Excel, CSV or TSV file as standard, or an alternate file format can be developed as a separate service
- Can be delivered to either the client's FTP or the company FTP for collection
- Is imported on the schedule defined by the client
